Every page is checked against the rules below and rewritten if it fails. They exist because the figures on this site are the kind a reader acts on at an airport, where being wrong is expensive and immediate.
What gets a page rejected
A fee, dimension or weight limit with no date and no link to the airline page it came from. A compensation amount stated without the regulation that sets it and the conditions that disapply it — distance bands and extraordinary circumstances both change the answer. An airline described as best, cheapest or most reliable without the figures and the route that claim depends on.
A booking link with no disclosure before it. A claim about future fares. An invented statistic or a study that cannot be named.
What every figure must carry
The date it was checked, the source it came from, and the conditions under which it differs — cabin class, route, fare type and whether the ticket was bought before or after a rule changed. Where an airline's own page is ambiguous, the page says so rather than resolving it.
Corrections
A fee that has changed is updated and the page says when it changed and what it was. A fee whose source page has moved is re-verified or removed. A page carrying figures older than six months without re-checking is treated as broken, not as stale.
